This month the Norwich Orthopaedic Family Fun Day will feature the Norwich Orthopaedic walk in aid of Action Arthritis.
The event will be held on Sunday 28th June at 12.30pm at the Global Clinic, Colney Hall, Watton Road, NR4 7TY.
The NOW charity day is associated with our 1 mile sponsored walk in aid of Action Arthritis. The walk is designed to cover a distance achievable by all ages and generations.
Please come along on the day and participate in the sponsored walk as well as enjoying our fund raising event. The more sponsorship achieved, the more money we raise. You can download and print the sponsorship form below.
This year we are suggesting participants walk in their funniest hat.!!!!! There will be prizes for the best designed hat for adults and children who participate.
Other confirmed events will include orthopaedic ‘dry bone’ demonstrations of commonly performed orthopaedic procedures, performed live on pretend bones by our consultants and trainee surgical staff. The public will have the opportunity to have a plaster applied as we would to a broken limb!!
There will be a variety of stalls providing information with regards to orthopaedics, what our staff do and what problems we treat. Including patient information about services in our department. Stalls will be run by our outpatient and ward nursing staff, our specialist nurses, paediatric orthopaedic department, and theatre staff. We will have a stand providing information about disability sports and activity opportunities available for children with disability.
Guest appearances will include past Norwich City player, Robert Fleck-who will kindly lead the walk, entertainment from Omiston Academy and Town Close Schools, the Bollywood dance group and the local fire and police services will also bring along their latest vehicles to view.
Refreshments will be provided in the form of a barbecue, cakes and drinks.
Please come and join in the fun.
